Review: Oriflame Sweden Pure Colour Intense Lipstick - Fabulous Fuchsia

Hi Guys! How are you all?

Today I am sharing my review about another product from my Oriflame haul, the Pure Colour Intense Lipstick... Last week, I reviewed the Pure Colour Lipstick in shade Rich Red, click here to read it.

These lipsticks also have eight shades in their range - Daring Berry, Dark Burgundy, Warm Rust, Fabulous Fuchsia, Pretty Purple, Baked Purple, Baked Brick, Forest Berries and Cocoa Brown. These colors are look intense and dark as suggested by the lipstick's name. Pure color intense range is slightly expensive as compared to pure color lipstick and has a nice selection of different shades and pigments to suit every mood and personality. To know more, keep on reading this review til the end...

Packaging: This lipstick comes in a cylindrical, glossy, opaque, black, plastic bullet with a black, opaque, plastic cap which makes it different than the Pure Color Lipstick but disables the consumers to view the shade.  The click cap has a loose packaging, doesn't lock properly and the lipstick is really small, light weight and travel friendly. The overall packaging is very basic, prone to breakage and has nothing too fancy.
Cost: Rs. 229 for 2.5 gm

Shelf Life: 2 years

Smell: Floral, mild, pleasant

Texture: Soft, creamy texture

Finish: Satin

Pigmentation: Nicely pigmented, color pays off in a single swipe

Shade: This shade "Fabulous Fuchsia" is a beautiful-vivid purplish-red color and leaves a magenta kind of tone to it. It looks really nice on my skin and draws a lot of attention to it. This shade will flatter all skin tones.

Staying Power: This lipsticks has a staying power of four hours, better than the Pure Color Lipstick. It starts fading after four hours and removes completely if I eat or drink something but it bears light snacks.

My Experience: After having a very disappointing experience with Pure Color Lipstick, this lipstick performed little better and lived a little bit to my expectations. It has a better color pay-off and two swipes are enough to get the finest pigmentation on your lips. This lipstick has a soft, creamy texture and leaves a glossy-satin finish. It is not excessively creamy and sits properly on the lips after some time. All the colors in this range will complement most skin tones and they're affordable. The formula of this lipstick is really appreciable and makes my lips moisturized and nourished. It feels like having a lip balm underneath. Its staying power is lot better than Pure Color Lipstick and I cnanot ask for more pigmentation at this price point. Fabulous Fuchsia looks really pretty and lasts even longer when I apply a lip liner before applying the lipstick.

The application is also nice because the lipstick glides smoothly on the lips, doesn't crease up and looks even. The smell of this lipstick is floral and nice but not overpowering and vanishes off in a minute. It disappears as soon as I eat something but bears light snacking leaving a pinkish tint behind. The lipstick has an intense color and looks beautiful. It is light weight, travel friendly but I wish the packaging was improved. The click cap is not sturdy and can lead to breakage or ruining my lipstick. Overall, this lipstick has a beautiful color, a nice finish, a fabulous shade, a decent pigmentation and a fine staying power. It doesn't look patchy or crumbly on touch ups, has an even application but settles into fine lines.

Will I repurchase it?
Mmmm, yes. Since I am happy with the pigmentation and beautiful colors range, I will buy this lipstick again. I don't mind doing touch ups until and unless it makes my lips really beautiful and attractive. I am quite satisfied by its staying power even though it is so creamy.

Will I recommend it?
Yes. If you are looking for a budget friendly lipstick, some bold, intense colors and not-so-matte finish, I'll recommend you guys to try it out.

Is it worth the price?
Yes. It does a decent job in such a price point and is worth the price according to me. It is not extremely disappointing and has a satisfactory result.

My Ratings: 4/5

Final Verdict: Overall, this lipstick isn't bad and worth a try. It looks really nice and chic, has a fine pigmentation and stays really better which I expected least due to its texture. I just wish that the packaging is improved, ingredients list is given and the formula is made a little less-creamier, so that the lipstick can stay longer and doesn't fade off easily. As for the word intense, I can say it has lived upto my claims in terms of color pay off and richness.
